A student of aerospace engineering, passionate about rocketry and space technology, coordinator and lead propulsion engineer of the rocketry division of the student’s assciation MELprop, Alexander Gorgeri deals with designing and testing various rocket engines and missiles. Aleksander’s work is focused mainly on conducting research on the combustion of polymer based solid fuels in hybrid rocket engines, with over 20 successful firing of various hybrid engines under his belt. He oversaw the creation of the first Polish liquid fueled rocket engine, whose successful test in May this year was the the culmination of three years of his and his colleagues’ efforts. Currently, he is working on the practical application of the aforementioned engines as rocket propulsion – the first of them, expected to reach an altitude of 12km, will launch in October this year.
